OMG!! I have actually experienced the earthquake tremor at around 12 plus this morning!! It was a slight tremor, and I felt as if I had a fainting spell. I looked at my hand but it wasn't me shaking, which I felt rather weird. Then, it stopped.

I have only found out what really happened when I saw a thread posted in one of the forums I frequented. Apparently, the earthquake a 8.5 scale earthquake and happened in Indonesia, somewhere near the previous earthquake that caused the big Tsunami disaster.

I do worry about Singapore's safety even though we are positioned in a very geographically safe location. What if one day, the tsunami got so big until it can devour the vast lands in Indonesia and at the same time, devour our small little country call Singapore?~~!

I have also read the newspapers recently and apparently, the glaciers or ice in the two opposite poles on Earth are melting at a remarkable rate. Not only that, the ice on the Himalayas are melting as well.

Pollution

That word can cause the destruction of the whole humankind...If we continued with our reckless actions, causing deforestation and disturbing the nature, we will soon be grave danger...Think about the increase occurance in Nature disasters in recent years. I am not kidding, we are slowly feeling the anger of Mother Nature...

Anyway, I have just watched a documentary on Unsolved History in the Discovery Channel. I love Unsolved History because it actually involves current scientists, forensic science, psychologies...everyone to attempt to solve murders or mysteries of the events in history. Like How Troy fall, and what I have just saw, WHO KILLED ALEXANDER THE GREAT.

Alexander The Great was one marvellous and ruthless king, who had a big ambition in conquering the world. He was the King of Macedonia, after witnessing the brutal assassination of his father King Phillip. When he was young, he learned his father's battle strategies and was even tutored by the great philosopher Aristotle.

After he became the King, he decided to conquer Persia. With a small army, he defeated the large Persia empire and proceeded to conquer Egypt and Afghanistan. He also conquered parts of India and had plans to attack Arabia and Italy. Unfortunately for him, he died at an early age of 32.

Many historians speculated 2 possibilites leading to his death; Disease or Poison killed him.

The Documentary actually followed a famous UK investigator who had a long record of cracking bomb cases. He actually used what we have learned in school, the mindmap to crack his cases.

Together with his team, he looked into the 2 possibilities of how Alexander died. If he died of a illness, the disease could be the West Nile fever. But, further investigations shows that he could have been killed by a poison called White Hellebore.

The eventual conclusion by that investigator (called Greeve i think..) was that after Alexander's best friend and gay lover Hephaestion passed away due to illness, he was heart broken, causing him to use wine/alcohol to drown his sadness away. However, his health detoriated and the physicians may have used cures that had White Hellebore to help him vomit out the bad things in Alexander's stomach. (small dosage of Hellebore supposedly help vomiting)

Alexander could have been reckless by asking the physicians to increase dosage so that he could recover in a faster rate as he intended to invade Arabia. The increase dosage might be the fatal blow for Alexander, causing him to fall.

*coughs*

Anyway, I am very amazed at how science in our current world have helped to uncover some mysteries of history. ^_^

Hey hey hey!!~ I have just gotten my results! I've gotten 2 As( meaning 70 to 79 marks) for my Consumer Behaviour and Internet Marketing! I am so happy! I was expecting just a pass for my Consumer Behaviour because it was a rather tough subject to get results, judging from how stringent my Curtin's unit controller is. But I am going to thank him, thank my luck and my god that I have gotten a good grade for my units!~

I finally dragged myself to the gym today as well. I have been rather inactive for the past...4 months! Thats like a no no for me in the past, but I guess I have sort of slagged off. When I realised how big my tummy is, I decided that's it, I have to go to the gym!

Reaching there at 1pm, there are still alot of members exercising. I wondered why these people are there...don't they need to work?

Anyway, I went immediately to use those toning machines for my thighs, biceps and triceps, buttocks and abs. I realised how weak my abs is now...die, must stop eating too much and start doing abs exercise...

I am going to aim to wake up earlier to go to the gym's classes, continue to strive for my studies and get a great job~!!! ^_^

Yeah, I am folding paper cranes now. On the bus, I fold them, on the computer table, I am folding them, with my classmates, with my family, alone. I am folding paper cranes.

Why?

Well, firstly, this is charitable work. Songhe, rice company, had indicated a crane charity event whereby the public can fold paper cranes and each paper crane is equivalent to one bowl of rice to the old folks homes in Singapore. So, here I am, folding the paper cranes to do a part in the charity event.

If you are reading this, and still has time to fold, regardless of how much you can fold, please bring it to Suntec City Convention hall 6. Event till 13 March 05.

How many do I have now? 200 and more!~

Anyway, recently I have come to terms with my 'friendship' with one of my classmates in my current school. I have been rather close to her during our schooling days. But what irks me about her is that she hurts me. No, not physical hurt, but more like a verbal insult.

I am a person who can't speak up for myself, as I found out. I do not know how to, not that I don't wish to. I can't stand up for myself by shooting right back at a person. Thus, I was under serious strain in trying to refrain myself from killing her. The first time I noticed that she is trying to put me off was whenever I pronounced a word wrongly. For instance, 'tier', which once I say it as 'tyre'. She looked at me, laughed and shook her head. This happens whenever I pronounce a word wrongly. She would just laughed at me, which to me, I find it really irritating and heart-arching.

Yes, I do not have a good command of English language. Yes, your language skills are so much better than me (she's an indian). But why do you have to laugh at me for my wrong? When I was with another person (a malay girl), she didn't laugh at me for my wrong pronouciations, she simply repeats it in the correct pronounciation.

NOT LAUGHING AT ME!~

Anyway, the latest verbal insult was when we went out for a movie. As we had our lunch together and was still rather early, we sat down and started chatting. She started telling me and another friend about her recently watched movie, The Long Engagement.

After we talked about that movie, I told them about the movies I have watched, Hitch and Howl's Moving Castle. I really love Howl's Moving castle, especially the main character Howl. He is really well-drawn, handsome and funny.

So I told them about that movie and how Howl is so cool and handsome. The next thing that she said really made me wince.

"HAHAHA!~~~ YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON A CARTOON CHARACTER???"

Okay, maybe I am a little too sensitive, but I just find that sentence really offending. No, I am not having a crush on an unreal character. But yes, I find him handsome. She went on to say that she can't believe that I fall in love with a cartoon character (ANIME!~ NOT CARTOON! -_-'').

Anyway, to add salt to my already bleeding wound, while we are watching Series of Unfortunate Events (there is a front section that is on this pixie animation character), she said, "You like this character too right, since it is a cartoon too? Like how you like the cartoon character in the other movie."

OMG...I just smiled and rolled my eyes, but I was rather angry. I mean, I was trying to share my movie watching with her but she just shot me back with such piercing words. And I am angry at myself for being unable to shoot her back. She made me feel I should never open my heart to her ever again.

I told my sister and my boyfriend and they both agreed she was rather mean to me and that this is not a friend you should have. Well, I am finally convinced. Initially, when she laughed at me, I defended her in my mind that she is just being reckless in how she talked, and she is still a good friend.

But the more I stayed with her, the more I get irritated at my uselessness to speak up and her mean behaviour. I've decided to just being platonic, to be just an aquaintance to her..thats all.

yeah, I have found myself a part-time job!~ Is actually wom through my boyfriend's sister, whose colleague needs some data assistance. Is a very easy job, all I have to do, is to update his data and call some people if the data is missing.

Will this job, I do not need to work long hours and can't manage my time well. The job only requires me to work half an hour everyd day, and I can work at home as well!

On another note, I will be starting school today. This time round, our school had moved to Princep street which is near Plaza Singapura, so it is in the TOWN AREA!~ wheepey! Will be catching Series of Unfortunate Events with my classmates later! can't wait. I will be having 2 subjects that are night classes, so I am actually 'free' during the week's morning and afternoon. But this time round, I am taking up 3 subjects for this semester, hope it isn't too stressful for me!~~

One last thing, check this out!~~
